According to the lack of nutrition, hygiene and the purpose of reducing families’ expenses and promoting child rights, thus, the Food Distribution Program is set by the cooperation between Child Hope Organization (CHO) and Great Peace Cambodia (GPC) to provide food for 250 children who are learning at the Child Safe Center of CHO.
On Wednesday January 18th, 2012 Child Hope Organization (CHO) has celebrated to continue a Food Distribution Program for children at its center. CHO and Great Peace have agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for eleven months project (from February 2012 to December 2012). This program will provide children a lunch meal every Friday. This agreement has signed between Child Hope Orgaanization (CHO), Great Peace Cambodia and Donor from Taiwha Social-Welfare Foundation.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
On Friday June 03, 2011 Child Hope Organization (CHO) was celebrate a Food Distribution Program for children at its center. Food Distribution Program was started at 11:00 in the morning and finished at 12:00 morning as supported by Great Peace Organization.
CHO and Great Peace have agreed on memorandum of understanding (MOU) for six months project (from June 2011 to December 2011). This project will provide children lunch meal every Fridays. They have established FDP in order to fulfill their goals of some reasons such:
- To provide nutrition for children: some of children who live with poor family are facing with the lack of nutrition in their body. They sometime eat only rice with fried fish, roasted fish, roasted cheese or food which doesn`t contain enough for their growing. Otherwise, they have to get that nutrition from the FDP of CHO and Great Peace Organization.
- To provide hygiene for children: some children who live in rural area always eat their food without clean their hands first. They just come and eat. And their parents sometime do not care about the influence of hygiene. Because of that issue, CHO and Great Peace have decided on this problem and advice students to wash their hands before they eat meal at CHO office.
- To reduce family`s expense: the basic need of poor family in Cambodian is food. The poor families in Cambodian always pay much money for their food. So in order to resolve their problem CHO and Great Peace have selected this reason to solve using FDP project. Sharing food for children it like sharing families ‘expenses or it like give a box of money to children for buy their lunch meal.
- To promote child`s incentive: according to FDP project CHO and Great Peace wish to encourage poor and vulnerable child to see a new hope for their future.
- To support child`s right: FDP project has also showed about its goal to promote child`s right (Right to living). FDP project is a part of promoting on child`s right by using meal supporting.
According to the lack of nutrition, hygiene and the purpose of reducing families’ expenses and promoting child`s right, CHO have been collaborating with some local NGOs in Battambang. Nowadays CHO is running a project on FDP with Great Peace which agree on memorandum of understanding to support 250 children at CHO center in Battambang. That is an effort to complete its goal and mission of CHO to promote poor and vulnerable children in Battambang. The cooperation between CHO and Great Pease is the best value for our children who are studying at CHO center.
At the mean time, CHO is still seeking for other local and oversea partnership in order to run many projects that refer to assist and promote child`s right, and their safe in the society using educate and training. All the goals and missions of CHO are focus on child`s incentive and basic need (food, clothes and learning). Report and Photo by Center staff:
